THE THAMES PATH

This album presents a selection of images from an exploration of the 185 mile long Thames Path National Trail.  The walk was completed in stages between 2007 and 2021, following the river from its source to the Thames Barrier, including both banks through London. The 120 photographs included here are chosen from around 7,300 images taken during the walks.  They were captured across different years, seasons, weather conditions and times of day using five different camera systems.  The photographs follow the natural flow of the river, moving from source to sea, with images from opposite banks interwoven where both sides of the Thames were explored.  The views look in every direction - a reflection perhaps of my school motto “Look Aboot Ye”.  The photographs are not intended to be a walking guide or a definitive photographic record of the trail - they are simply my impressions.
