SNOWDONIA

These images of the Tryfan and Snowdon mountain groups were captured twenty-five years apart, offering a fascinating comparison between two eras of photography.  The black and white photographs were scanned from Scala B&W transparency film, originally taken on an Olympus OM-4Ti camera, where the fine silver grain and distinctive sheen of the film remain visible.  The colour images were captured using an early 10-megapixel Olympus digital SLR, reflecting the transition from traditional film to digital photography.

Beyond the differences in technique, both collections showcase the exceptional beauty of the Welsh mountain landscape, with its dramatic scenery, rugged peaks and rewarding scrambling routes.
